NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY DECISION TO ISSUE AN INDIVIDUAL AQUIFER PROTECTION PERMIT
Mohave Energy Park (MEP) is a new peaking natural gas-fired electric generating facility located in Mohave Valley, Arizona. MEP will operate up to four natural gas-fired, simple-cycle, LM6000 combustion turbine generators (CTG), each capable of producing approximately 49 megawatts of electricity. Excess water generated as a byproduct of reverse osmosis (RO) treatment of raw water will be stored and evaporated within an 8.3-acre, two-cell lined Evaporation Pond located on site. AEPCO anticipates a facility lifespan of approximately 40 years.
