Purpose: This is a permit in AQUIFER PROTECTION PERMIT NO. P-514791 PLACE ID 143836, LTF 104758
An Arizona Aquifer Protection Permit (APP) permit is required for any facility that discharges pollutants to the groundwater.
The purpose of this amendment is to:
· Establish alert levels and aquifer quality limits for quarterly monitoring parameters listed in Table 10 at newly installed monitoring wells.
· Update the alert level and aquifer quality limit for radium established at MW-2R.
· Remove completed Compliance Schedule Items 5, 6, and 7 that required the installation and monitoring at new compliance monitoring wells.
· Update CSI to note the amendment type associated with alert level and aquifer quality limit establishment in accordance with A.A.C. R18-9-A211(C)(7).
· Update the Nitrate Mitigation Plan CSI to require biennial updates until nitrate concentrations observed at MW-6 stabilize at a value less than the aquifer water quality standard.
· Remove the Use Protection Limit Report section due to completion.
· Update the closure costs and financial assurance mechanism using the inflation factor from the 2023 permit.
